Back....

So, I guess I needed a blog break - a long blog break.  I've been busy, though, "nesting" for the arrival that we are getting in 9 weeks.  This past weekend, we were able to getaway to the coast for our last trip before the little guy arrives.  Rockaway Beach on the Oregon Coast was just what we needed - quiet, relaxing and overflowing with fresh seafood, delicious artisan cheeses and creamy Tillamook ice cream - black walnut, please!!  The cottage we rented was what one might call shabby, not chic, but had the most amazing view of twin rocks and the ocean and a lovely patio perfect for reading all of those baby books in preparation for the big day.  Here are a couple of photos...

Six months and counting....

My husband just reminded me that this week is our six month wedding anniversary!  Yeah - I totally love being married.  The only thing is that you have to start over with the numbers game.  In real years, we have been together for almost 6, but in wedding years only 1/2.  :)

The wedding was so lovely!  We spent three amazing weeks in Spain for it with visits from about 50 of our closest friends and family sprinkled throughout.  The little village we were in was pretty magical - its called Jimena de la Frontera.  The best part about the wedding is that it was such a family effort and so low key - my husband's mother and sister catered it (and the food was amazing!!!), my girlfriends, family and I went to the market for flowers and made the bouquets and boutonnnieres, my mom made the wedding cake and we shopped for local desserts...and it was three days of fun events.  Parties, parties, parties...and way too much cheese and jamon!

There have been quite a few people that have asked us why we chose to get married over there, but we never had a really good explanation.  Really, there was just no where else that seemed right!  Here are a couple pictures of the big day....

Our friends and family!  It was so windy that my veil actually flew off!  LOL!

Our friend Brian actually wrote and played a song for us - so sweet!

Happy I do!

This little guy followed us all the way from the base of the village and decided to
snack on my dress after the wedding!

Our post wedding walk to the party!

Too much champagne with the girls!!  This picture cracks me up!

Guess this means I have to get started on that scrapbook and album I committed to, huh?!?  Happy weekend!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my mom's birthday.  I won't say how old she is, just that she's still lookin' good!  Needless to say, she is the sweetest and I love her.  Happy birthday Mom!

Mom, stylish at an early age!
